With just over a week to go until our now Epic (as I like to think of it) read-a-thon, I’ve decided to kick off the give-aways early. I will be giving away 10 e-copies of Meant to Be from Amazon to the first ten peeps that post a comment here on my blog. My second giveaway is from May 25th through May 30th for a signed copy of Meant to Be, and is for international peeps only. (That’s right, U.S. residents are out on this one. Sorry guys, but I have to show my international peeps some love too.) All you have to do for both giveaways is to leave a comment saying you want to read Meant to Be. The e-copies will be given away on a first come basis, while the international giveaway will be a drawing. HAPPY READING, and don’t forget you can still sign up for the Epic Read-a-thon at this site http://awesomebookworm.blogspot.com/ 😮

I’m excited to make this blog post because we are getting very close to a day I have been looking forward to for a long time. On June 4th, we are doing a 24hr read-a-thon. What does that mean? This means that for 24 glorious hours, I get to do nothing but have guilt-free reading. To make it fun, we have involved several great writers, bloggers, and readers in this event. At last count, we had 52 participants signed up.
This is an event that is open to everyone. Several fabulous individuals are involved with this event. The blog site that will be hosting it is http://awesomebookworm.blogspot.com/ you can click on this site to sign up. Other individuals that have so graciously agreed to help are: Jaime and Patricia at http://twochicksonbooks1.blogspot.com/ Missy at http://tworeadersreviews.blogspot.com/ and Rachel at http://www.fiktshun.com/fiktshun/ . They can also be found on Twitter under their Twitter names: @BrielleBookworm, @arnoldjaime13, @iampmendoza, @missyreviews and @fiktshun.
We plan on having many giveaways during the 24 hours that many of the participants have so kindly donated to the event. The few rules that have been set: 1) You have to tweet at least a couple of times throughout the day on what you are currently reading. ( Hopefully, this will help spread the word about new authors that we may not know about and help all of us discover great new books) 2) No spoilers please 😮 The last rule I have set is that everyone needs to be courteous. We have several readers and bloggers that are younger including the blogger who is hosting the event, I ask that they all be treated fairly with their age being considered.
I hope to see many more of you for the event and feel it is going to be a lot of fun. 😮
Now for this week’s signed copy of Meant to Be giveaway:
It’s simple enough. If you plan on being a part of the read-a-thon and would like to read Meant to Be, post a comment here and you are entered! (U.S Residents Only)

Ok, so we know it’s no secret I love Twitterville and all the tweeps on it. I love the great conversations and all the kind gestures I see each and every day. I love that writers get to connect with those that not only read their work, but also blog about it. I love that writers root for each other and that bloggers show authors their love of reading by writing beautiful reviews of their stories. I love the RT’s and giving shout-outs to all my friends I’ve come to rely on each and every day. I love paying-it-forward and showing my friends that I care enough to RT things that are important to them.
This week, I found out the most amazing and wonderful thing that someone did for me that I never knew. On April 17th, my sales took a huge spike and I sold more copies that day of Meant to Be, than any other day. My sales ranking went from 32,000 all the way down to 1,300, and I was amazed. This was a huge crossroads type of day for me. I had just found out that I had gotten a job I had applied for. I was not overly excited about the job, and was sad it would take more hours away from writing and my family. The day my numbers spiked, I told my hubby I was going to turn down the job and take the summer off to get the second book released. The spike in my sales gave me the faith I needed to continue to pursue my dream.
Soooo, I’m sure you’re wondering what changed it all and spiked my sales. Well, on April 17th, someone listed my book on the website, Pixel of Ink, which I had no idea even existed. I have no idea who listed it, but wish I did. They will never know what they fully did for me that day, and I will forever be grateful to them. They gave me the confidence to shoot for my dream once and for all. That also made me think of all of the other wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of meeting since the release of Meant to Be. To each and every one of you that have helped and inspired me with your kindness and support, I say THANK YOU! Paying-it forward is an amazing and powerful concept that creates an infinite number of positive ripple effects. I truely believe this, so if you paid-it-forward for me that day, thank you so much. I challenge everyone to find a way to pay-it-forward for someone. I promise it will benefit you sometime when you least expect it.
I’ve decided to tie this week’s signed copy of Meant to Be into the whole pay-it-forward theme: The first tweep that posts a comment in this week’s blog section on something I’ve re-tweeted, a blog site I’ve mentioned, or an author’s book I’ve talked about will win a signed copy of Meant to Be 😮

After 4 1/2 long years, I am finally done with school (yay). It has been a long road with a few curves that sent me in different directions. One of the curves was the “creation” of Meant to Be. Poor Meant to Be was often left alone with no one to play with as I continued on my college journey. Now though, I can finally say I have handed in my last assignment, taken my last test and spent my last moment stressing about a homework assignment (Woooooohooooo). This means that Krista, Mark, Sam and Shawn can finally come out and play again and finish what they started. I am anxious to put the words that has been floating around in my head down on paper and let them tell their story.
Now for this weeks trivia question and your chance to win a signed copy of Meant to Be. What is my degree in???? Yep hard question but I’ve mentioned it a few times…… 😮
